UVA is a place to settle in, share plates, and stay a while in the heart of downtown Kimberley.

Our open kitchen turns out seasonal ​t​apas-style small plates designed for the table​, with a Chef-inspired regularly changing menu.

The wine list is built for exploring, with twenty-five bottles available by the glass alongside classic cocktails and a few house favourites.​

This is the philosophy Chef Josh White brings to UVA at The Larix.

Josh’s career has taken him from prestigious Michelin-recognized restaurants in Britain to top 100 worthy kitchens in Canada. Sojourns have allowed him to cook for royalty at Ascot, source tea with independent farmers in China and to indulge guests in luxury lodges in the most exciting destinations.

Influences from Scandinavia, Asia, and Australasia have shaped his style into something distinctly his own: European foundations with global accents, guided always by locality and seasonality.

Food is about connection and we are lucky enough to invite guests into our story, where every dish has both purpose and personality.
